Why When I Use Folgers Coffee Does It Leave A Nasty Film On Top When I Pour It In My Cup?

If i use Doller General columbian coffee it don’t leave the film. Have cleaned coffee maker and makes no differance with folgers.

    use the paper filters on it and it will take most of the oil off the top. Its oil that is in coffee naturally but paper filters help.

    Do you have well water? That could do it.

    It’s not really a “nasty” film.All coffee retain certain oils from the processing of the beans. Yes the oil is IN the bean.
