Try different brand or type of bean

Try what other posters have said but I didnt think Dunkin Doughnuts coffee tasted as good as Starbucks,I think its the bean. Both sell for around the same price,so maybe try Starbucks. I also think coffee brewed at the stores tastes better than when you buy a bag and brew at home.
Maybe buy whole bean, could try grinding the beans yourself and see if differ in flavor.

It might be your coffee pot. Make sure to change the coffee filter regularly.
Also, clean our your coffee pot; sometime residue builds up because you have hard water. Try using a water filter to eliminate poor taste and odor.

Are you using tap water? That could be the explanation. Try using filtered water or distilled water, that might make a difference. I love Dunkin Doughnuts coffee. Hope this helps.
