They sell some nasty products, one is called CLR (calcium, Lime & Rust Remover) this will clean it up. YOU MUST HOWEVER BE SURE TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS AND RINSE AND RUN SEVERAL CYCLES OF WATER THROUGH BEFORE DRINKING COFFEE AGAIN. Available in almost any supermarket, great for shower doors.
For the future use filtered water to make the coffee taste better and keep the machine running better.
There is also a specific product from URNEX that will work well.. see the link

I clean my coffee pot out with arm and hammer baking soda. Just run water the water thru your maker already mixed with the baking soda. Then just run the maker a couple of times with just water to clean out all the soda. Works like a charm.
P.S. If you maker has a water filter in it you may need to change it or just take it out. The maker still works without using one.

Buy a gallon of bottled drinking water and make coffee. That will tell you if it’s the water or not (which I suspect since you say it still tastes bad after cleaning with vinegar. You might need to spring for a new coffeemaker! I have used a BUNN for years. Makes really good coffee.

it might just be your water, but have you deep cleaned your pot. put some crushed ice in it with about a teaspoon of salt and swirl it around for about 2-3 minutes that will help

White vinegar. Clean it once a month by running it through the coffee maker. Follow by running through plain water.
