i like breakfast blend types. usually what is on sale. Seattle’s Best, Starbucks, Neuman’s Own. I pay a little extra, but I only drink two cups per day, so it is worth it to me. I never found the coffee to taste better ground fresh, but I am sure others will argue. To me it is too messy, when I am in a hurry in the A.M.

You should buy an individual french press from Bed Bath and Beyond, the have bigger ones also. It makes a really good cup of coffee, you should pick out your favorite blend from starbucks and have them grind it for you, make sure to tell them its for a french press bc they grind it differently depending on how you will be making it.

For an over the counter brand, maxwell house is better than folgers, but we order our coffee through Gevalia now. It’s not real expensive, and it’s really good.
Check out their website and see what you think. You get a free coffee pot and carafe the first time you order too, so that helps. We love the creme brulee and mocha flavors.http://www.gevalia.com/Gevalia/
    Hope this helps.

Personally I love Kona coffee…it is made in hawaii and they deliver to my house.
They have a pretty good range of flavors - from specialty blends to light/med/dark roasts…not too bad and I can’t complain about the price…
