If one was trying to stay up late in order to do their homework, would simply swallowing coffee beans like pills suffice? What sort of damage (if any) to the digestive system would this do?

    If you swallowed enough of them they could get caught in your digestive track. If you really like whole coffee beans, buy some chocolate covered ones and chew them up. They will digest a lot better. Whole beans are not meant to be as food.

    Nothing will happen to you- you will be fine.
    On another note
    certain cats do this, called civets..
    the beans are collected and then sold as the most expensive coffee you can buy!

    if you swallow them whole they are gonna come out whole! but why dont you just take a shot or two of espresso. you can make it taste better with sum sugar! makes more sense to me!

    you may get pains in the stomach but you should be alright just dont do it anymore it is not good for the small intestine
