You could have a Mocha which has chocolate and coffee, or go for a caramel or vanilla drink. They have different flavors so you could mix it up.

You know, I have never really understood the Starbucks craze. It’s not even that good. I guess most of the general public has been conditioned to think that Starbucks coffee is the “end all be all” of coffee products. Actually, Dunkin Donuts coffee is way better and less expensive.

I’m the same way, not a big coffee fan, but I’ll drink it. I LOVE the double chocolate chip frappuchinos at Starbucks. They aren’t like straight coffee at all! They taste like the most amazing shake-type-thing ever invented. Not too mocha or java or anything, but it’s really good. I also recomend the pumpkin spice frappuchinos, they taste weird at first, but after the first sip, it’s awesome! A little more coffee like than double choc. chip one though. If you aren’t a coffee addict, I would not try any mocha or java flavored thing there, they can be too overbearingly coffee-esque! Good luck making the decision, I know how stressful it can be!

Caramel Macchiato. It’s got a coffee kick to it but it’s really sweet. My hubby gets his over ice and with extra caramel syrup. Yum!

Dude, if you like coffee but not a LOT, why in the gods’ names are you buying Starbux? I like coffee, a LOT, and am most proud to say that I never have nor never will darken the doors of that establishment.

If you are not huge on the espresso they use in their drinks, you should try whatever you like but ask the Barista to make it as a “Misto.” Simply have them sub their “house Blend” or Medium coffee into any of their popular drinks. It is not as bitter as the espresso can be, and you will have nice coffee flavour. You might want to ask them to go light on the syrups, too.
I usually make up my own drinks - I am a big fan of Amaretto, so I typically ask for a Misto white Chocolate Mocha with a shot of Amaretto syrup.
I am not particularily fond of their Irish Cream flavoured syrup - it tastes like what I imagine sugary mushrooms would taste like.

Try a Caramel Macchiato. It’s espresso, steamed milk, caramel flavored syrup and it’s topped with caramel sauce. It’s really tasty and not too coffee-ish. Something to know about Starbucks, is that a tall coffee drink has one shot of espresso, a grande has two and a venti also has two shots, so if you’re not a big coffee drinker, try getting a venti since it’ll have more milk or asking for a grande with only one shot of espresso.
Edit: The hot version is fantastic, in my opinion it’s much better than the cold version because the caramel sauce melts instead of sinking to the bottom in one big cold lump. (Although surprise chunks of caramel are still delicious!)
