Coffee Talk

I am getting tired of simply brewing my own coffee and drinking it simply with cream… it is just getting old.
What are some other ingredients that you personally use to add a little extra flavor to the coffee you make yourself?

    Here’s a few ideas:
    -Sprinkle about 1 tsp. of ground cinnamon ontop of your good quality coffee grounds before brewing.
    -Try using other commercially made coffee enhancers in the form of creamer: Irish Coffee, Hazlenut, Vanilla.
    -Melt a large pc. of Mexican Hot Chocolate in a sauce pan and add it to your coffee. There wil be overtones of canela cinnamon and chocolate in your coffee. (Mexican style hot chocolate is found in solid “chocolate bar” style in the Latin section of your grocery store or Mexican markets. It usually is found in the form of a disc, then once you break it into pcs. and use as much as you need.)
    After dinner coffees:
    -If you drink alcohol, then you might try adding the following to your coffee. (For adults only)
    - Bailey’s Irish Cream
    - Frangelico
    - Amaretto Di Sarono
    -Kahlua

    Home roasted coffee.
    It will open a whole new lane for you without adding a bunch of garbage to a perfectly good drink.

    Once upon a day, the old timers used to put egg shells in the bottom of the pot. They also just threw grouds in the water and boiled em over an open fire. Gets thick after a while.
    I got bored with coffee and switched to tea - brewed in the coffee maker. Irish Breakfast Tea is quite tasty and as hearty as coffee in a tea sort of way. Haven’t found Russian Caravan tea, but it was recommended here on YA in response to one of my questions.
    Bailey’s is my ultimate coffee fixer upper. mmmmm. On days off, of course.

    *Flavored syrups (available in the coffee aisle at the store)
    *sweetened, condensed milk
    *Liquor- Bailey’s, butterscotch schnapps, Frangelico, Amaretto
    *cinnamon
    *Nutmeg
    * vanilla ice cream
    * hot cocoa mix
    * marshmallows
    Another thing I do is grind my own beans. It makes such a huge difference in the flavor that I don’t think I could go back to buying ground coffee!

    try putting hot chocolate mix in it. There’s this one type of mix called Abuelita. It’s mexican hot chocolate mix. They have it in packets. It’s like… regular hot chocolate but like with cinnamon & spices. it’s really good in coffee.
