This Nespresso machine makes excellent espresso with almost no effort. The coffee beans come pregrounded in sealed capsules that you insert into the machine. Then you just turn on the machine, press a button, and out comes the coffee. Easy as that. Clean-up is just as simple. Just pull out the capsule collection container, dump out the empty capsules, and rinse the container by hand or in the dish washer. No filters and no moving parts. But all this would be for nothing if the coffee wasn’t good. Well, the espresso isn’t just good, it’s excellent; fine dining excellent in my opinion. There are about a dozen coffee flavors you can choose from, and every once in a while, Nestle will put out a limited edition blend to keep things interesting. As of 3/20/10, the capsules cost $0.55-$0.62/ea. You order the capsules from the Nespresso website, and shipping is $7.00 flat regardless of order size. About the only down side to owning one of these machines is that you’ll never be able to drink Starbucks coffee ever again.

My fiance and I brought one of these last year and I’m totally addicted to the coffee! All other coffee is little more than brown water to me now and if my fiance doesn’t order the Nepresso cubes and I have to drink anything else, I’m not a happy camper! Seriously, this machine takes coffee drinking to a new level! My only regret is that you can’t buy the Nepresso cubes in stores. I mean, I know it’s a “higher class coffee drinking experience,” but surely, Nespresso can find a retailer that is worthy of selling their cubes (i.e., Norstroms, Macys, Target, World Market, Williams Sonoma). They sell the machines in retail locations, why not the coffee?
