Coffee Talk

I have a basketball game tomorrow in the noon at 11 and I’m planning on getting some quick and easy mcdonald’s but I don’t know if getting an iced coffee would be a good or bad idea. I went to some sites and some said it improved performance and some said it reduces blood flow so can someone that knows about this stuff help me pleeease.

I drink coffee regularly and also play basketball year round. I feel no negative side effects when drinking it before a game. As long as you don’t drink it a few hours before and risk crashing in the game.
    Hope this helped!

Coffee dehydrates you, which is bad for sports. I think that if you drink coffee everyday, you should have what you typically have. I never like to change something about what I eat before a game. Just make sure that you stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

Bad. When you crash you have no energy. Ingest slow burning carbs such as starches and grains in the hours before an event to have sustained energy. A sports drink such as Gatorade will provide fast energy during the event. Coffee can also dehydrate you.
