Is Instant Coffee More Commonly Used In Britain Than In The Us?

Coffee Talk

I guess most people here in the US drink brewed coffee. But it seems like a lot of British TV shows and books indicate that British people tend to drink instant coffee. Is the quality of instant coffee better there than in the US (because I can’t stand the taste of instant) or is regular brewed coffee more expensive? Just wondering?

Yes, they drink instant all the time. Here in Spain we drink espresso, but many Brits living here still use their instant coffee.
I don“t like instant anymore I much prefer espresso nowadays.
