At least 18.
Coffee any type has a lot of acid. My sister and I drank it constantly from 9 yrs and 11 yrs on, we both have bladder problems due to it now. Anything with a lot of acid in it eats away at the lining of your bladder and messes with your kidneys. Look up Interstitial cystitis (think it is spelled right) and you can see the effects of acid on your bladder and coffee is the worst to do this. I have already had two surgeries and I’m only 25. I drank coffee all the time.
Not to mention the effects it has on your teeth and breath and the fact that it is like smoking it becomes a nasty habit and you get addicted to it.

I think you should be at least 18 because it is a stimulates, but so is coke and Pepsi and young kids drink that. I see alot of kids under 10 going to Starbucks and getting the cold drinks not to mention the energy drinks. So I guess even saying 18 is not fair to your question, but as a parent I would stick to 18 for coffee and at least 13 once in awhile a Starbucks.

My son has been drinking coffee since he was about four. It has less caffeine than most sodas and he likes it. For some, it is an acquired taste, but I know lots of kids that like it, especially the flavored coffees like Starbuck’s. I don’t think you have to be a particular age.

I started drinking coffee with my dad when I was only 3 years old. I dont know if thats healthy or not, but it made me good memories of my dad, so I do not regret it.
Sorry I am not of much help…
