I usually drink one coffee in the morning and I am good but there are times that I really need a second. Is it bad for the baby?

As long as you don’t just drink coffee drink lots of water.I never stop drinking coffee when I was pregnant and I did not stop when I breastfeed.IT is not going to hurt the baby and will not have that much effect on the baby.My kids did not lose sleep because I had that one cup of coffee.I think moms should be more worried over the nasty fake foods with dyes loaded with sugar rather then if a women has one cup of coffee really!Don’t go drink a pot of coffee,if you feel you need another cup make sure you are drinking lots of water. Not all the body is going to send all that caffeine to the breast anyhow. We have amazing body that does the balance. So bottems up!

Seeing as how the caffeine would leave your system in two hours, yes you can have another cup.
I have two cups once in a while.
It’s never bothered my baby.
You can have up to 350 mg of caffeine when breastfeeding.
That’s the equivalent of 4 cups of homemade coffee, standard strengthhttp://www.kellymom.com/health/lifestyle…
that page has great info
If your baby is uner 3 months old, just watch out for any fitfulness. Although if you’ve already had coffee with him, it’s doubtful it’d bother him

You’ll be transferring all that caffeine to your baby through the breastmilk. I’m not saying that it’s horrible, but it can cause some changes in the baby. Since they are so small and sensitive to things it could keep her up for longer and interfere with her sleep. What new mother wants that? lol

You shouldn’t drink any. But one cup of day won’t do anything.
