Hello iman_tx22,
Forget what all the others are telling you about grinding the beans.
They’re just having a joke with you.
This is what you really do.
Have you ever seen on TV how they make wine?
They put all the grapes in a big bowl - a really big bowl, but you can use your bath if you like - and people take their shoes and socks off and get in the really big bowl and squash all the grapes and all the juice runs out the bottom into a bucket.
Getting the idea?
For hygenic reasons, when doing this to the coffee beans you must take all of your clothes off and put your hair in a wet green towel. If you haven’t got a green towel you can make do with a blue one but the coffee won’t be quite as strong.
Of course, if you are squashing the beans in your bath you must remember to put the plug in. Squash all the beans until you have made lots of liquid. Hop out the bath and pull the plug out. Now you have to dash down stairs and go outside because you have to catch all the liquid as it comes out of the bottom of the drainpipe but before it goes down the drain.
For this you must have a cup and a bucket ready. You catch what you can in the cup, tip it into the bucket and use the cup again.
Whatever you do, don’t worry about all the people walking past who will see you, completely naked except for a green towel on your head (or a blue one if you don’t have a green one) holding a cup under a drainpipe.
We are all coffee drinkers and they will know what you are doing and understand.
Enjoy
Take your coffee beans to Starbucks. They’ll grind them for you (its free) for whatever filter you have in your coffee brewer, then it is 2 TBSP for every 6 fl oz of water.
I know it’s stupid, but did you grind the beans, other wise try increasing the amount of grounds, i usually use about 4 heaping tablespoons to 12 cups of water (according to the measure on the pot itself) 1 cup in a coffee pot doesn’t equal 1 measuring cup, it’s only aobut 6 ounces of liquid according to the measurments. In a full cup it’s 8.
You have to grind the beans. And to grind them, you have to buy a coffee grinder. You can find them anywhere.
Here’s an example of one:http://www.amazon.com/Krups-203-42-Fast-…
are you making coffee out of the beans or did you grind them up first? you can go to your local supermarket and ask if you can use their coffee-grinder. coffee’s supposed to be made with the coffee grounds.
Take the beans to Second Cup and ask them to grind it for you. They may want to charge you a fee. The alternative is to buy a coffee grinder or it’s a long shot, but take it back to the store you bought it from.
