In our small office environment, we use an average coffee machine, with supermarket coffee, and some flavored creams and sugar. Nothing extraordinary. We all drink it. What can we do to diversify, and create a sense of “new” with our daily routine?

Use your coffee fund and buy a grinder then find a source of fresh roasted coffee on the net and order fresh roasted beans. you can try different beans for different tastes and the coffee will be better than the store stuff.

You get different blends at the supermarket. Ones that are already packed and ones that you can choose and grind.
For each day of the week (Mon-Fri), why don’t you have a flavor/blend for each day?! (There’s the ‘french roast’, ‘colombian roast’, ‘irish cream’ and so on…), So each day everyone can look forward to something different. If you do like this idea, ask the rest of them in the office, take a vote on it and go buy nice flavors. Make sure to accomodate everyone

Maybe have a new station with cinnamon, chocolate, whipped cream, honey, some teas, just add more variety. Or you can try making mocha-chinos… half hot chocolate half coffee with whipped cream. Those are different and very good!

How about using an italian espresso machine ?
We love it in italy.
We have it both at work and at home.. easy to use.. just insert a coffee dose and stop the coffee when it’s enough for you.
If you are not used to strong short and tasty coffe then I wouldn’t suggest you

buy whole beans and grind them for each pot. The sound of the grinder will announce a coffee break loud and clear.
Get some whole milk and flavored syrups and make cold coffee drinks.

If everyone contributes to the “kitty”, as a coffee fund, once a week offer it as a jackpot to the one who can drink two cups of coffee and then hold out from going to the bathroom the longest.

Office Coffee Should Be a Job Perk
I like 100% Colombian Coffee and test to get the best ratio of water to coffee. You could try different types and let the office vote on the type of coffee with a chart. The article below gives some other ideas.

Start a jar coffee-fund. make people put their spare change in it, and every time there is enough money, buy a few pounds of gourmet coffee and make it every Friday morning.
