I was so excited to find a coffee maker with the cup-at-a-time feature. My husband just loves the convenience. We had tried the Cuisinart, but it died in less than a year, and the Hamilton Beach looks cheesy for the price….I decided on this one and received it today. I tried 3 different brews and they all resulted in coffee or water all over my counter. It will be returned asap with replacement not an option!! I may have just received a lemon, but I can’t recommend this coffee maker.

Pros: I’m not a coffee afficianado. But I do like my coffee. This little number makes a good cup of coffee. So far it’s been consistent. Uses cone filters which seem to always make a better tasting coffee. It’s easy to set up & very easy to fill the water resevoir (it’s removable if you like). Cup at a time feature is good idea & this keeps the coffee hot without getting that burnt & bitter taste that comes with the pot & hot plate varieties.

Cons: You can’t fit a cup or mug taller than 3.5″ under the spout. This means you have to play the transfer game;fill a cup & pour it into something else. I noticed that if you fill the water resevoir to the maximum (1500 ml) you will have a flood. However, if you keep it to between 1300 & 1400 ml you’re fine.

I would also like to see an easier coffee dispenser. This has a tab like feature that you push down. It works but they could come up with a better idea I think.

All in all, considering the price, it’s a good little coffee maker. If it only lasts a year, I will have gotten my money’s worth. I make more coffee now than I did before because of the ease & the flavor.
