If you stay awake for say a whole week and you drink only lots of coffee, will you still have symptoms and microsleeps?

    Coffee will make you feel more awake for half an hour or so, but there is no permanent cure for the symptoms other than sleep. Don’t drink coffee if you’re feeling tired as it will give you a short boost for a short while and then you’ll feel worse than you did before the coffee afterwards!

    Coffee will likely increase the sleep deprivation. Simply because caffeine affects the length and quality of your sleep through the over-stimulation of your nervous system.

    No it will not stop those symptoms. Coffee is okay to keep you awake when you are simply tired, but when you reach the point of exhaustion or deprivation it is very dangerous to keep going. Your body needs sleep to repair itself physically and mentally. You would be susceptible to just “conking out” randomly. Very dangerous if you are driving or even walking down the street.
    Get off Y!Answers and get some sleep.

    No, but Niacin will (to some degree) help you achieve your desired results, temporary, in high doses.

    No, actually cofee increases those symptoms
