Coffee Talk

I have heard that when you drink coffee the body holds on to belly fat. Is this true? Is it because of the caffine? If i cut coffee will it help me to loose my stomach?

I must have had a lot of coffee in my time….

  2. Margie Says:

No. Not doing enough exercise and sit-ups is the cause of that.

    Black coffee has no calories.
Your body holds on to fat because you are taking in or maintaining more calories than you are burning off.
Reduce calories and excercize. That is the only proven method of weight control that stands the test of time.

    Hopefully not

Maybe if you are drinking lots of sugar and creamer with your coffee, instead of just black coffee.

no. who told you that? nothing “causes the body to hold on to belly fat” except too much fat! try going on a diet.

yup caffeine produces cortisol which makes you fat especially around the belly. I left coffee 2 months ago and lost weight around belly. Plus it kills your appetite. Anyone who truely knows about nutrition will tell you that curbing your appetite is not the best thing to do. You got to know the right things to eat. Starving your body will make you lose muscle and you will start looking old and flabby.

no no, the exact opposite my friend. Caffeine is great especially if you’re trying to lose weight. If you’re really concerned about your belly and you combine caffeine with a fitness program it helps burn fat. That’s why people take green teas for dieting because it has a good amount of caffeine in it.
