I am never hungry in the morning, but I always have a large cup of coffee with half and half and a little sugar and honey. I usually am not hungry until about 11:30 or 12.
Will this mess up my metabolism if I am trying to lose weight? Do I have to eat something in the morning or can I simply have the coffee and this will work?

yes this will slow down your metabolism! Despite the fact that caffeine will normally enhance your metabolism, this needs to be combined with real, preferably healthy food. Your metabolism will be at its highest efficiency when you are eating every2 to 3 hours! Considering that you just woke up from a good nights sleep, you haven’t eaten in at least 8 hours! This is why they say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If your not that hungry and you need something on the go, grab a yogurt and some granola, its quick its easy and you won’t feel stuffed afterwards. If you can eat small meals about 4 times a day and healthy snacks 2 to 3 times a day, you should be hungrier when the meal times come, you will loose weight, and you will start to eat less automatically because the size of your stomach has shrank, and it doesn’t take as much for you to feel full. Good Luck

No, of course not.
Yes, you have to eat to keep your metabolism up. If you don’t eat, your body is starving–then it shuts down to hold on to ALL your stored fat and calories to protect itself.
Eat.

Nooo.. you need to eat breakfast.. like cereal.. not just coffee and a granola bar.. your body needs a lot of engery to get you through the day.. and your coffee isn’t helping your body at all..plus if you drink coffee over a period of time, and suddenly you stop drinking it.. then you will get headaches every day since your body isn’t use to having it

coffee is bad !!!!!
its a good a source of energy, but it kills your teeth
i would, say to have a large cup of hot lemon/lime water - no sugar !!!
and some nuts
hope you lose all the weight you want =]

In order for you to keep your metabolism going, you need to consume something with nutritional value. Fiber, protein and unsaturated fats are needed for you to keep your metabolism on track. Vitamins are very key to your energy levels throughout the day and coffee doesn’t provide many, if any at all. Try oatmeal in the morning. it reduces cholesterol and provides complex carbs that your body will burn slowly to give a constant energy boost for your morning. if you don’t like it, try a flavored version or add some fruit.
