i don’t know about coffee stains being bad for ya, but if you want a quick way to clean them out, i found one that will make you give up coke! since i had just finished my last cup of coffee one day and wanted a coke, i decided to use the mug instead of dirtying up a glass, when i finished the coke, the inside of my mug was sparkling! the coke had scoured the coffee stains that i couldn’t scrub out no matter what i tried. so don’t worry about those coffee stains, just don’t drink coke anymore, i might be harmful!! lol, enjoy, and good luck!

nope. it is only bleached by the coffee, just like peoples teeth get yellower if they drink coffee every day. It is just something all us coffee lovers have to live with.. occasionally bleaching our teeth back to white and occasionally buying new coffee mugs if we dont feel like cleaning the old ones…lol

    i would soak in bleach

i would think breathing that dumbasses air is probably more harmful to you than your mug. if youre worried about it, soak it in bleach water for a bit. stains dont have to carry bacteria. much like our clothing is dyed, your mug has been dyed by the coffee.

I think if ti was more than you would be sick! In fact my aunt would probably be dead! She drinks coffee 24/7/365!

Nah, stains are just that. Do you drink with milk and sugar? Those are the things that allow growth of mold and mildew and fungi. Drink straight black and there is nothing left in the cup for those bugs to “eat to survive”. Drank for years and years. White cups turn a brown color before I spend the time to clean them. Simple process. Put in a teaspoon of bleach and fill cup to brim with water and let stand overnight - and dump liquid in morning and rinse real well. Stain is gone. Towel dry before using if planning to use right away. Otherwise air dry is ok. and shelf the cups.
Just wish it was that easy to clean my teeth(coffee and tea does the same staining to the enamel)

Well if you are cleaning with antibacterial soap and making sure that you really scrub it and relieve the area of all bacteria etc then you’re fine!
Coffee etc stains a lot of stuff. If it stains your teeth and you brush them throughly does that mean that there is a ton of bacteria on your teeth?
Think about it on clothes… you get some oil on clothes wash it and it’s stained.. Does that mean there is bacteria on the spot? nope.. it’s just stained….
    Ignore that ignorant person.
