I’ve been making iced coffee using regular brewed coffee. BUT I can’t get it as creamy as when you buy it. And I wouldn’t mind some flavor options also. Thanks.
I think the ‘creamy ” part you are referring to may be the dairy you are using. I use half and half, half milk, half full cream, but many companies call it just that Half-n-Half in the USA.
Now, when I make a brewed pot, or an instant pot, we like it cold
with both cream and sweetner, so I sweeten it first, then add the cream, to my liking, then put it on ice for now, or in the fridge with no ice for later!
Hope this helps!
Well firstly, why not extract your coffee from the grind by using the drip method? Where the coffee beans are grinded, then put into a filter (with plug still in) and water is added. After a certain amount of time, pull out the plug and allow your coffee to drain out
After that, to give it some flavour- why not try to add some syrups to it or sweetners? (sweetners/equals only as sugar does not dissolve as well)
From then whenever you want to make some iced coffee- just put in some ice cubes, add some of your pre-made coffee and full cream milk as that would ensure that it would be the creamiest. skim milk definitely wouldn’t not taste nice
When i do mine, i grind 450g of espresso beans and then put it in a closed filter while adding in 1750ml of water. After 15 hours, take out the plug from the filter and after all dripping is done, 750ml of coffee should be made. And now whenever i want some iced coffee- i just simply put in 60ml of it into 250ml of milk. as for the syrup in it, why not give caramel and vanilla a try?
Try brewing the coffee double strength. Regular coffee is about 2 tablespoons per 8 oz. cup (Europeans prefer a 6 oz. cup). Let the coffee cool then add ice, milk or cream, sugar and/or flavored syrup depending on what you like. Some people freeze their unused coffee in ice cube trays and use them for stronger iced coffee.
Hope this helps
Brew very strong coffee because the ice will dilute it. I use half and half to lighten it because it is creamier. You could even use some light cream. I use one package of Equal per glass, but that depends on your taste. You can use regular sugar, of course.
make a strong coffee and add enough amount of cream.. then, you can add artificial flavoring syrup like vanilla or strawberry…
chill it in a freezer to cool it fast.. then, serve
